Hanging skin, better known as skin tags, are a common occurrence, especially in adults who are in their 50s and 60s. Skin tags typically occur under the arms, on the neck, under the breast or in the folds of the groin area. The medical profession calls them Cutaneous Papilloma or Acrochordons and uses several different medical procedures to get rid of them. These procedures can be expensive and in most cases are unnecessary, because almost all skin tags can be removed at home, without complications.
The problem is, that most medical insurance doesn’t cover skin tags.
Since medical insurance will not cover the removal of skin tags, people are using safe and natural ways to remove these annoying growths, which in most cases, are not a major health concern. The best way to get rid of a skin tag at home is to use a castor oil and baking soda mixture. Mix the castor oil and the baking soda until it forms a paste, and then apply the paste to the skin tag two or three times a day. The skin tag should drop off within two or three weeks. Tea tree oil is another natural solution for skin tags. Apply tea tree oil three times a day to the skin tag and you should see results in two weeks.
A simple remedy worth trying…
Dental floss is another home remedy for skin tags. If you tie the stalk or base of the skin tag with dental floss, it should drop off in a couple of days. Scissors can also be used to remove skin tags, but there are risks involved when skin tags are removed by cutting them off. It can be painful and infection is always a possibility, if the scissors are not sterilized and the area is not treated with an antiseptic.
If you are serious about removing your skin tags, I highly recommend you check out the book “Moles, Warts, and Skin Tag Removal”. Not a very unique name, but definitely delivers! Check out my full personal review of it here:
The easiest way to remove skin tags is with duck tape. Cover the area with duck tape for three days and then check it. If the skin tag is still there, apply a fresh piece of tape for another two or three days. Castor oil, duck tape and even finger nail polish are proven skin tag remedies and anyone who has used them, won’t live without them.
